Don Williams，1939年出生于德州的弗罗伊达达(Floydada)，自幼跟随母亲学习吉他；少年时代曾经活跃于乡村、乡村摇滚、民谣及摇滚多个乐队中。完成高中学业后，即与好友组建了自己的乐队。七十年代，当.威廉姆斯成为世界上最成功的乡村音乐人。他的乡村流行乐不但成为美国流行音乐主流，也为他在英格兰和欧洲赢得了大批音乐追随者。
